about me
I have had a passion for music as long as I can remember. As a child I was constantly making mixtapes (some of which I still have!) and playing my Casio keyboard. I learned to record music digitally and recorded constantly. I went to college for audio engineering, where I learned the technical side of sound, audio science and recording. I then worked & toured as a professional musician for over a decade. I learned about live sound, performance etiquette, and life in general from those years. After that, I opened a restaurant and music venue in Fairfield, Iowa called The Arbor, which I owned and managed for 7 years. I booked a lot of DJs and learned so much about what keeps people on the dance floor and what doesn’t! My goal is to make events feel unique and memorable instead of cheesy! These passions and skills led me to this work, which feels like the perfect blend of doing something I love that can serve others and make the world a little brighter!
Your event, your music
I consult with every client to make sure that the event is designed according to your vision. I always arrive early to events and can handle last-minute changes to the plan. I have thousands of fun and successful events under my belt, and I try to always be attentive to the needs of the situation. I bring an authentic and sincere approach to hosting events, and I never tire of being fully present for people’s celebrations!
Equipment specifics
I have a full powered QSC P.A. system with two mains and a subwoofer which can be modified to fill any size venue. I bring a DJ table that is 3 feet wide by 20 inches deep. I mount the speakers on tripod stands which have a floor footprint of around 3 feet each. I need a reliable source of power at the venue. I always travel with extra extension cords and power strips. Reliable WiFi at the venue is necessary for live requests. I DJ using Serato Pro and a Numark Mixtrack DJ controller. I use Both Lighting S6 wireless up lights synchronized to the music using Soundswitch.
